I had them replace the clutch on my (ex) 1966 Volkswagen Bus. They did it in one day and replaced the clutch, flywheel seal, and rear main transmission seal. Charged $345(AAMCO was going to charge $800). I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up later that day. Their staff is very knowledgeable and very nice people too. Would definitely recommend to anybody.

First, Vintage is one of the only VW shops in town that I know of. My Jetta clutch release lever broke on me yesterday. I had AAA tow me in and these guys had my clutch repaired along with a brake job, oil change, and tire rotation by close of business. Not bad seeing that I had it towed in unexpectedly at 2:00PM. The price was reasonable. Even though their shown "list" prices are unrealistically high, the actual parts costs were comparable to internet parts prices with enough profit tacked on to make a little profit for the guys. Vintage also keeps track of work they've done and they suggest potential problem areas to keep an eye on before they let you go. I'm typically suspicious of mechanics, but I feel like I can trust these guys and will go back if something happens that I can't repair myself.

The people at Vintage Auto are always friendly and helpful. They are competent in what they do, they are almost always right, and their prices are very reasonable! The only drawback that I faced, is that there is no transportation nearby, and they do not provide loaners or shuttle buses. But that is not a problem for those of us who live in Greenville, and there is always someone you can ask to come pick you up, right? On a 1:10 scale, I would give them a 9.5!
