I have had R&C work on my vehicles for more than 12 years
now. I found them by mistake when another garage told me
that I had a blown engine. (I had driven the car in and
figured that if I drove it in, even with 100K+ miles, the
engine could not be blown) When I left that shop, I headed
home and stopped at R&C to look at a truck they had out
front. When I told the owner what happened, he offered to
look at my car and found it was only a bad lifter. He
fixed it, and 250,000 miles later, that car finally blew a
head gasket and I decided it was time to let it go. I have
to say that instead of just 'replacing parts', R&C also
really repairs things when possible if it will save you
money. They go out of their way to get work done at your
convenience. I can't say enough about how wonderful they
are. I have recommended them to very many people and
everyone that has gone to them has had nothing but the
best things to say. I have also had people tell me they
were sorry they hadn't gone to him in the first place.
Their customers are long term and end up feeling more like
part of the family. It's the kind of repair shop that you
just can't seem to find anymore. Well worth giving a try.

not overpriced. A good local mechanic.

I used the Car Talk search to find a repair garage for
my daughter's '96 Camry. (She's in RI and I'm in NH) The
garage had her stop by early one morning so a diagnosis
could be made and then scheduled the repair in a very
timely manner. Very nice people and took the time to
explain the problem to my Daughter. We would both highly
recommend this garage.
By the way, the garage had no idea they were listed on
the Car Talk site or that the list even existed. Although
hesitant at first, I think they happy to be listed here.
