Amy’s husband drives with two feet. He used to have a stick shift, but now drives an automatic, and he uses his left foot to brake. Amy thinks this is dangerous, and Ray agrees---to do this comfortably, Amy’s husband likely has to keep his foot on the brake pedal, which could engage the brakes, heat up the brake fluid and cause the brakes to glaze. Tom thinks it’s not such a bad idea--the foot is closer to the brake pedal, if he needs to stop suddenly.
