My neighbor, who knows about cars and trucks, recommended Dave. I went to see Dave initially because my local mechanic didn't have a clue about a particular clunking sound I was having. I know that there's a difference between a "parts changer" and a mechanic, and I wanted a mechanic! Unfortunately, my local mechanic would tend to be a prts changer, if one would allow him, and I don't have the $ to be so frivolous. Dave rode with me in the car (he is such a big guy, he hardly fit in my full-size '91 Bonneville) to a pothole riddled parking lot in order to hear the noise, and suggested the problem was the CV; he replaced this, which got rid of the clunking, thus proving that he had been rrect. Another time, rebuilt my alternator so fast I couldn't believe how they operated. As soon as I described the problem, they had it out, sent it out, got it back, and I was on my way! These people have been nothing but super. They listen first, discuss next, and never make me feel as though I am just another "auto-illiterate" like some guys do. I take good care of my car, and just hate it when men assume you know nothing about cars.
