Larry Peck in particular is a great mechanic for the traditional domestic car. He keeps my fleet of high mileage vehicles running and works at a very reasonable price. He aloways tries to find an economical solution

They don't have the facilities to fix everything but will give you referrals of who can and will be honest. Also, if the problem is something they think you can handle, they'll tell you how to do it yourself at no charge.

I only took my car to this garage once. I was having a problem with my brakes. Metka's told me that my car (88 Toyota Camry) was not worth repairing and that it would be difficult for him to correctly diagnose the problem. He did spend some time explaining what he thought the problem was. He charged me $40 for his time, but did nothing. Out of frustration, I took the car 200 miles to my normal mechanic. He charged me $200 (which I was happy with) and fixed something entirely different than what Metkas had diagnosed. I have since driven the car probably at least 11,000 miles and had no problems.

They will advise you on whether a job is worth doing or not on a car. "It's your money, but I wouldn't spend it on this if I were you."
