This shop was recommended to me by the wife of a local guy who is also somewhat of a "motorhead." The guy takes his cars to Iezzi's for repair work and inspections. I have been using dealers for about five years due to the age of my car and truck, but I figured it was time to find a local shop with a good reputation to cut down on the driving distance to the dealers. I found one in Iezzi's. My Windstar van had very dicey brakes and would have required both pads and rotors at a dealer's shop, and I told one of the owners about the brake problem when I took it in for state inspection. He found that the pads were shot, but the rotors will last quite a while and did not change the rotors..."they were fine when I had it on the lift and when I road tested it"....good enough and pragmatic for me. I know it would have cost me at least two hundred dollars more at the dealer.

Very fair pricing and prompt service. The main mechanic listened to my concerns and did a maintenance procedure I asked him to do to my Ford Ranger even though he believed that the procedure was unnecessary. I found a suggestion online in a Ford Motor Co. TSB and passed it on to him (lubing the slip yoke to reduce a clunking sound when the truck begins moving); the procedure worked well. When I took my other vehicle in for service I told him that the lubing worked well. He recorded the procedure in his computer database to assist other Ford truck owners who have a similar problem...the mechanic was glad to learn how to solve a common problem for which he did not have a satisfactory solution. He took the suggestion, did what he was asked to do, and did not criticize me for making a suggestion. He really listened.

They replaced the steering rack on my 2000 Ford Taurus. The only problem was... the part he installed was faulty. He put in a new rack then tightened up my lose shift linkage at no cost because of me being inconvenienced. Very nice mechanic and good communicator.
