Jack is honest and very competent. I have a "noise" in my
front end. Rather than guess, he told me he wants
to "think about it". I appreciate that. He is certainly
not the cheapest, but he knows what he is doing and he is
very professional.

Jack's garage is usually filled with Jaguars, and he knows his stuff re BMWs and Mercedes especially. He's able to do the routine oil & filter or a complete rebuild. BMW, Mercedes and Porsche owners come from far and wide. His place is behind the Sunoco station on the corner, 4th and Spring Garden Sts.

Excellent communication and very straightforward. I have a VW Eurovan and it was a delight to find someone who willingly works on them.

I couldn't agree more with reviewer #73953. Now that he's located on N. 2nd
Street, he's even easier to get to.

The Volvo dealer told me I needed a new transmission. Jack traced the problem to a cracked cap on the radiator overflow tank and saved me thousands. Jack's experience, common sense and honesty are my holy trinity of car repair. Try him out and you'll become a believer too.

Jack is an excellent and hand working mechanic. He got me in quickly and did the work well. He even told me what else I had to do.

Jack use to be a jet mechanic for the Israeli Army. His
skills are famous in Philly. He can figure out the
problem the first time and get it fixed. There is no
bringing it back b/c the problem seems to still be there
after you paid to have it fixed. His diagnostic skills
can not be beat. He spends thousand on the newest tools
and training to trace and fix complicated problems.
People bring their "expensive babies" to Jack when trust
and perfection are issues. If Jack catches you
mistreating your car he is going to Jack you up. If he
says it will be ready at 2PM on Tuesday he means it.
People may leave Jack for a bargain a basement alternative
but they always return with their tails between their
legs. If you want to cut corners go to Pep Boys. If you
want to drive a well maintained car which is closely
watched by a perfectionist go to the "Jet Mechanic." When
Jack tunes up you car you know all will be gone over, and
I'm talking about even changing your wiper blades. He
keeps much of what you need in stock and you simply know
your in the best of hands. I have even bought cars from
Jack.

This is a great shop, very busy but he understands the
needs of his clientele. First rate mechanic and a very
nice person.

My Volvo's water pump was leaking radiator fluid at an increasing rate. Jack
called me back just a couple of hours after I contacted him and asked if I
could bring the car in the next morning. This is impressive considering he is
the only one in the shop. He got right to work on my car and the total cost
turned out to be less than he quoted. Other mechanics I contacted looked
only at what I showed them (the water pump), but Jack insisted on checking
the entire coolant system and changing the belts and the thermostat, as well.
His shop was orderly and it appeared as though he worked in all the bays
simualtaneously. I told him I needed the car back rather quickly--by the 5th
of the month. I thought this was a stretch considering his reputation and that
I had only called recently, but he got it ready the 2nd. Seeing all the cars at
the shop and considering I heard from another customer that he works at
another location, too, I couldn't believe it. He told me I could pick the car up
at six. I arrived a few minutes early and he was still at the other shop, but at
5:58 he came to greet me, appearing as if he just finished working on
another car. I've now driven 3,000 miles on the car since then and am still
incredibly satisfied with his work. I'll never have anyone else in Philly work on
my car.

Jack's very knoweledgeable in the cars he specializes and
very thorough in his work. He's very upfront with his work
and is very honest with his assessment.
