They are very honest and if it the car does not need a part
they do not sell you what one does not need.

I was driving my 1994 BMW 525i on the Schuylkill Expressway
in Friday night rush hour in Philadelphia. It was very hot
and the air conditioning was on. All of a sudden
smoke/steam came from under the hood. I stopped, popped
open the hood and saw that the upper radiator hose came off
of the radiator. I attempted to put it back on and when I
did, I got back in the car and drove off. About 1 mile
later, the same thing happened. I got out of the car, saw
the same hose had come off of the same coupling and I
attempted to put it back on. Drove off and sure enough,
steam and smoke after about 1 mile. I got off of the
expressway, stopped at a mini-mart, bought anti-freeze and
H2O and poured it into the radiator. Got back on the
expressway and after about 2 miles more smoke and steam.
Like a moron, I kept driving until black smoke started
coming out of the tail pipe. Got off at Passyunk Avenue. By
this time, funny noises, funny smells and a generalized
breakdown occurred. Called AAA and they towed me to
Marino's Sunoco. Didn't know these guys from Adam. Happily
the owner of the shop had a BMW just like mine and by
Tuesday, everything was fixed. It seems the thermostat went
south and the pressure blew the hose, with a piece of the
radiator neck, off of the unit. I needed a new radiator and
they got me an aftermarket one. The thermostat was genuine
BMW. They gave me a 1 year/12000 mile written guarantee. I
was very impressed with their honesty and integrity. It is
now 6 weeks later, the weather is very hot and the car is
running like a top.

With my daughter attending college in Philly, and me living in Kansas,
I was nervous about telling her which auto mechanic to go to for repairs.
She has always been treated with respect (even though she sould not know
a camshaft from a crank shaft). One time what we thought was an electrical
system problem was simply water in the tail-light assembly. Marino's replaced
a brake light for $5. I am glad to know someone whom I can send my daughter
who, I believe, is honest and fair.
