This is a great shop for foreign cars! It IS worth buying foreign just to be able to go to them. I couldn't answer the question in the survey about how they respond when they screw up because they never have with me. Once they diagnosed a problem that they couldn't fix and recommended we take the car to the dealer. The dealer came up with a different diagnosis and was pretty adamant. We told the dealer they could do the work they felt was needed, but we wouldn't pay if it didn't fix the problem. It didn't, and the dealer ended up doing the repair Dick Costa had recommended. The problem was fixed. And Costa's loves it when I refer to Car Talk, especially when I baked them brownies.

Best mechanic I have ever used. I fear the day I would have to search for a new mechanic.

I found these guys on and found the advice to be dead on. Great guys, Very pleasant front desk woman. Honest, don't feel like your getting jerked around. I've recommended them to other friends who I work with and they've gone and said the same.

I've used Costa's for many years now. They are incredibly responsive to any problems that your car might have. As busy as they usually are, they almost always can "squeeze you in" when you're a regular customer. I have found their work to be superior, their pricing to be fare (not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for), and in the courtesy department, no one can beat them. I never thought I'd be raving about a car repair shop, but I rave about them to anyone who will listen.

I've been going to this repair shop for nearly 20 years. I keep cars till they wear out and they make it easy. Used them for a Volkswagon Jetta, Toyota Rav-4, Mercedes SUV, and Toyota Highlander Hybrid. THis is the only place I've ever taken a car where they told me, on occasion, that I don't need a tuneup (i.e., car is running fine), don't need an "engine flush", etc. I get an honest assessment about how critical a repair is. For examle, on their advice I've been driving for two years with the check engine light on rather than buy a $250 sensor that is unnecessary. Car runs fine. Couldn't be happier with these guys.

I have driven by Costa's dozens of times. The lot was always full (a sign of a respected operation), but I never thought of using them until the local Toyota dealer came up with a laundry list of items on a car that had just passed inspection the month before without any of these things mentioned. After reading these reviews, I decided they should be the ones to give the proverbial "second opinion". I gave them the list of the items, and they checked out each one of them. The verdict? They said only the front brakes needed replacing, and not the engine mounts or suspension brushings the dealer told us. I figure Costa's saved me at least twice what I paid them. I'm definitely going back the next time I need something done, even if it's just an oil change.

Customers come to them after the dealer suggested an expensive repair to get a second opinion. They have been in the business for many years. The same workers that were there 15 years ago, still work there. They are very fair.
