Rich is one of the most honest auto mechanics I have known. He will offer to take apart, clean and reinstall an older part so that you can get a few more miles out of it if he thinks that it is worth your while. A couple of times he has even fixed some minor thing to get us back on the road -- at no cost -- and said that he would do a more thorough job when we brought it in for the next oil change. He even remembers your name!
