I bought a used car from this man so my son could use it to get to the local community college. He told me up front that it burned a little oil. It did. I tracked it for a while and found that it did. I was concerned so I called him. We talked about it for a while and I straight-out asked him if the car would make it to Spring (the anticipated date of my son's graduation). He said yes. That was good enough for me. Several months later (after my son was also using the car to deliver pizzas) the car disappeared for a week. When it mysteriously came back, I asked what had happened. I was informed that Mr. Cope had put another engine in the car. There was no charge. I have other stories I can relate about Mr. Cope if you are interested. In my mind he's a very good fellow. I'm just sorry that after eight years I have moved to North Carolina and can't get to his shop as easily as I used to. My daughter goes to college in Wilmington, NC and still takes her car there when she is back in the neighborhood.

I have been taking my toyota's to Mr. Cope since the late 80's. When I sold my truck it had over 220,000 miles on it. Mr. Cope always did a great job keeping it in shape. One time my wife brought the car in for some work and left an envelope with the money (cash) to pay for the bill. She had counted the money wrong and left an extra $50.00 bill in the envelope. When I picked up the car. Mr. Cope gave me the bill and the change, including the extra $50.00 bill. He is always honest and the work is always done well. Rick C long time customer....
