The dealer for my range rover wanted me to buy all new rotors, calipers, along with the new pads I needed. the estimate was around $2000.00 I passed on their offer and let import auto have a look. They confirmed the rotors were getting too thin, but only one caliper needed replacing, while a 30.00 rebuild kit would extend the life of these rather beefy, expensive lockheed calipers. After all these should not be treated as "disposable parts". Total cost:$850.00 parts and labor, I am pleased!!

I drive an '85 VW Vanagon. Things break on it from time to time. Import Auto sometimes has difficulty finding the parts they need, and they seem oddly reluctant to go online to order anything. However, they are happy to have me order the parts and just charge me for the labor of installing them. I've saved a fair amount of money with this arrangement. They've also always been good about squeezing me in for an emergency repair.

I took a VW Jetta to him that the VW dealership in town
wanted 850 bucks for a starter motor! Mike put in a
rebuilt one for under $150. I quit buying VW's because of that,
but I keep going back to Import Auto.
