These guys provide "personalized" service. They mostly work on european and japanese cars, and "specialize" in German and Swedish cars. I mostly work on my own cars, and generally don't trust other mechanics. I met Joe and J. thru the Porsche club, and they have done wonders for my 1981 911. I see all manner of cars in their shop, from clapped out Beetles to concours quality Ferraris. I would trust these guys to do anything with my car.

Took Chevy in for brake noise in rear. I assumed I needed brake job, asked them to replace shoes etc. Ken phoned me later, told me that the brakes were fine, the noise was caused by excessive dust in the drums. Once the drums were blown out with compressed air the noise was gone. Plenty of life left in shoes etc. No charge! To this day the brakes are fine. Ken is a real pearl among swine.

The best move we made with our cars was leaving the dealers repair shop and going to J&J. In the 4 years we have been customers we have always been pleased. The mechanics take the time to explain the repair and to tell you if it is cost efficient to do. I have on two occasions stopped in because the car was making an odd sound and they have graciously stopped what they were doing to make a quick check for me. We highly reccommend J&J!

J&J Motors is the best kept automotive secret on the Main Line. Tucked away off Lancaster Ave on Water Street, this gem of a garage is filled with Porsches... and occasionally my Nissan 240SX. Gordon and the other mechanics are honest and intelligent, and I wouldn't think of taking my car anywhere else.

J&J Motors are very professional and honest. In my experience, they have always performed service in a timely manner and when they make a mistake, they have taken full responsibility for service errors. They are a little expensive, but they provide quality workmanship.

I have had many cars serviced at J&J during the 5 years I have lived in the area. This is by far the most well respected automotive shop around and the best I have dealt with in 30 years of car ownership. The techs are highly skilled and competent and management pays attention to the customer's goals. If you are looking for a high quality, fairly priced auto shop, this is the place.

I chose this shop based on the reviews from this site -- so glad I did. I brought my car in for a couple different issues, which turned out to add up to a lot. The mechanic explained everything that was wrong and recommended what really needed to be repaired right away, and what could wait. I took his advice and was very impressed with his honesty. The job was completed in a timely manner and I'm happy with the service.
