I can't tell you how many hundreds of dollars I saved by taking my VW bus to these guys. They are nice, and they rock.

I just love Gene's!! They are so good that, for awhile, they were not accepting any new customers because they were so busy!! I feel that they are honest and the cost is always less than I expect (have you ever had a bill less than $50?). I had taken my car to three places, including the dealership, and spent oodles of money to still have a problem with the electrical system. Gene's finally fixed the problem and I was so happy that I baked them cookies and sent them in the mail! A family business as well. Hondas and Volkswagens only.

I discovered Harold and Rick when I moved to Broomall 12 years ago. They are specialists in VW and Honda repairs. There honesty and excellent, not over prieced, work encouraged me to keep my 1991 Jetta diesel going for 275000 miles. When it died, I was heart broken over the fact that I had to find another mechanic to service the Subaru that replaced the Jetta. I want you to know that the decision not to have Harold or Rick as my mechanic was agonizing. However, after discussing with Harold the diesel VWs of the future, I left his office with these encouraging words from him-"You'll be back"! He is correct! I will be back! They also handled the repairs on my daughter's Honda.

I drive from Wilmington, Delaware to take my car to Gene's. So I have to wait for it. The dealership took @three hours to work on my car and I was afraid to leave it because I didn't trust. I leave my car at Gene's, go to breakfast and when I come back the car is done. I love them.

My family has been going to Gene's for 3 decades, beginning with my father in the 70's. They've worked on a range of our Volkswagens (Beatle, Dasher, Rabbit, Golf(s), Audi 4000, Passat, Jetta) and have always been relentlessly honest, fair, and helpful. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

This is a family business, it is presently operated by Gene's two sons Rick and Harold. Gene is originally from Germany. Rick's wife Jan runs the office, she is lovely and engaging, and keeps a very clean shop. Harold has been my mechanic for close to a decade. When I moved out of the area I couldn't find a mechanic with any where near his competence or courtesy, so I drive an hour and a quarter to Gene's for repairs on my '87 GT and my '69 Beetle. I've heard this guys described as "wizards of VW's" and I agree with this assessment completely.

Hi! If you have a Volkswagon you owe it to yourself to patronize Gene's. You will not be dissapointed. I have been bringing my VW's there for service since the mid 1980's. They do quality work at affordable prices and they treat you very well.

When I moved back from San Diego with my 1971 VW Bug, I saw several mechanics who said they could fix Bugs, but you could tell they knew nothing about them. Finally, I found Gene's. The father was there then. They were always honest and knowledgeable and several times dropped me off at home as they took my VW to their shop. When my VW died and I got another car, I had to change mechanics because of the make. It was four years before I returned with my Honda Civic. They're still the best and reasonably priced. I'm so glad to be back.
