Last fall I totaled my simple, efficient, economical, reliable Honda. Now is drive a 1983 Ford Bronco XLT that has been "rode hard and put away wet" as we used to say in Montana. I got it from my son who got it from his father who became my first ex-husband 26 years ago. But that's a whole other story. In March, I acquired my mother's 1965 Bonneville convertible with its original tripower 389 V8. Mom drove this car for over 30 years, mostly between her apartment and the bowling alley at 20 mph. It, too, needed lots of TLC to get it running. AJ's has been with me all the way on getting both cars road-ready. We've hit a couple of snags but they continue to cogitate on what needs to be done. I'll sometimes get a call on Monday from Glenn saying he's thought of something else we might try to fix the hesitation the Bronco has when I accelerate. He'll try the new idea, usually without additional expense to me. The front office guys are efficient, reliable, and not just a little silly. This is a home-town business built over 26 years with the sweat and blood of three guys who have not forgotten their roots. They do high quality work, are straightforward and honest, and I recommend them highly. Now if they can figure out how to remedy the dieseling and heat sink in the Bonneville, they'll be my heroes!

AJ's has great customer service. The only problem we have had with them is getting things fixed the first time around. We tend to give them the benefit of the doubt because so many people have recommended them to us, but more than once they haven't fixed our problem the first time. What they lack in intuitive diagnosis however, they make up for with friendly, timely service.

Excellent service. Decent price. Persistent problem-solvers. All that plus thoughtful stewards of the environment. One of the few shops in our area that washes parts with a water-based washer using a biodegradable detergent; usesg a "bird bath" brake washer, reducing asbestos exposure and eliminating chlorinated solvent brake spray cans; and uses common products in innovative ways: Vegetable spray is used as a lubricant and milk of magnesia is used as an anti-seizing compound. That's why they are the national award winners for environment leadership in pollution prevention.

we have been going to aj's for probably 15 years. when we were looking for a car, of course we went there to get advice. hybrids were one of the things we were looking at, but what do we know about hybrids? we were told that their tech, dan, has had tons of hybrid training. we got to talk with him and he gave us more information than we could absorb. ended up getting a toyota hybrid, which we love. now, we allow no one to touch our car but dan. he is great. they are great. send all our friends there, too

We took our car in to AJs because we saw radiator fluid on the floor of the garage underneath the car. We were planning a 2,000 mile trip and were worried there was a problem. We took the car into AJs to take a look to see where the leak was coming from and find out whether there were any other potential issues with the car we should fix prior to our trip. They said numerous things were wrong with the car, it needed a new radiator, new disconnect valve, etc. They gave us an estimate for a little over $1,100 in repairs. We thought that was crazy. Took the car to another recommended mechanic and for less than $100 the other mechanic fixed the leak and we were good to go. No further leakage and no incidents on our trip. In our opinion this shop is corrupt. Will never go back. Two years later and the car is running perfectly.
