A couple of years ago I bought a 1995 BMW 740 and it had
some oil leaks. The local dealership said that there were
3 problems: leaky power steering hoses, oil pan gasket,
and valve cover gaskets. And estimated that it would cost
$1200 to fix them. I took the car to MSI and they told me
that the power steering hoses were bad and needed
replacing, the pan bolts were just needed tightening, and
the valve cover gaskets weren't perfect but did not need
replacing then. The bill was about $600 (the power
steering hoses are expensive ($300+) and hard to get to).
18 months later I did need to replace the valve cover
gaskets because I had to add a quart of oil before the
regular oil changes.
I have gone to MSI several times since and every time felt
that the have been on my side, providing the best solution
to the problem at hand, and not charging me an arm and a
leg.
Relative to my responses to the survey results above: They
are not open on weekends, and I have never had to take the
car back after a screw up, because they have fixed it the
first time. Wayne is a nice guy and I can't imagine him
treating anyone (male of female) with disrespect.
I highly recommend these guys!
