They always try to help you out with less expensive used parts. Tries to repair instead of replace when safe to do so. Has many times given me a small part at no charge. Too honest for his own good...a pleasure to find these days.

I've dealt with these folks (it's a 2 man shop) over a 3+ yr. period and with a variety of vehicles (from Honda to Nissan, Subaru and Toyota). They have proven to be competent and very dependable and usually will make only the repairs that are needed unless you have asked for something more (and they'll call if they find other problems that need attention). They charge a fair price for good work, something that is difficult to find these days. I have no problem recommending them highly to friends and family. Every customer gets the same consideration, whether male or female, young or old. Reminds you of the old mechanics we might remember as a kid (only these guys aren't kids and they sure know how to run their business and do a good job too).

I took my Subaru in for a clutch job and they quoted a reasonable price. They came highly recommended. They did the job and everything seemed good. This was in the Fall. As the weather was turning, I was driving with my windows up and didn't notice a rattle whenever I stopped at a red light or sat with the car idling. When I noticed the noise in the late Spring and that it stopped if I applied pressure to the clutch, I took it back in. They said that it was past the 6 month warranty. I ended up having to replace the clutch the next year, and the new mechanic said that the previous shop had adjusted the clutch wrong and that caused the unusually quick wear.

I've taken a number of different vehicles to this shop over a two year period (Honda, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota). The shop is knowledgeable, fair in their dealings, reasonable in pricing and just good people to do business with. The owner (this is a 2 man shop) is experienced and will take the time to research unusual problems that come up to find a proper solution. I would recommend this shop highly.
