It was simple, but they were good. We were far from home
and the "check engine" light came on our 1999 Honda
Accord. We found Siskyou Motors on your Car Talk website,
called them and "Bow" (pronounced Bo) said he'd put the
computer on it right away and tell us if we needed to have
something done before heading home. He was friendly and
the shop was clean. He came straight to my car, plugged in
the computer and pulled up the code for catalytic converter
and/or oxygen sensors. He explained clearly what that
meant (after making the obligatory joke about 'You need a
new transmission;' my Dad was a mechanic, so I understand
this sort of humor)and told me what to watch for on the way
home. There was no charge. Bow also knows theater (we are
in Ashland, Oregon to see plays) and we spoke for 5 minutes
about the current "Othello." I'd certainly give these guys
another visit if I were in this area and needed car help.

We were in town for a few days in 100 degree weather with a
broken air conditioner. We asked Bow if he could make an
appointment for us within a couple of days. He said he'd
have his people look at the car then and tell us what he
could do. In about 10 minutes he told us they could fix it
within 2 hours and gave us a recommendation for a place to
have lunch. The lunch was good, they beat the 2 hour
estimate, and the air conditioner works.
