Nick (the owner) and John (the chief mechanic) are the best friends my car or I have ever found. They have my complete trust and have kept my Scirocco going strong until I finally beat it so hard they refused to let me get the frame straightened, showing me a picture of an identical Scirocco with the sub-frame horns broken away from the firewall (effectively breaking the car in half). It only had 260 thousand on it, and although it looked like it had gone a good long way, it otherwise ran great. They advised me to drive around behind the local Porche/Audi dealership and check out what the mechanics were driving, and suggested that I would see several Audi 4000 CS Quattros in '84 to about '87 vintage. They further suggested that in the many years of working exclusively on VW and Audi neither of them had ever seen a Quattro drive train with a problem (other than repairfolks putting the wrong lube in them). I love my new/'86 Quattro, and I am trying very hard to see whether I can wear it out with lots of miles or rough treatment (scout camp dirt roads at 65 mph, etc. In short, these are fine people with the expertise that decades of specialization alone can provide.

Nick has fixed both VW's I've owned - a 1972 Beetle and my current car, a 1990 Golf, which he affectionately calls the "Goof" (I didn't take it to him before I bought it) I recently drove from Oregon to Vermont, and if it hadn't been for him, I wouldn't have made it. He spent a bunch of time fixing my car before I left to make sure it wouldn't break down. When I did have a minor problem while on the road, he made sure that I had his 800 number before I left, and was available to help me trouble shoot via the phone. He is always honest, and very reasonable. Well worth driving out to Aloha from the Portland vicinity.

When the shop mechanics decided that my car needed a wax
job they let me do it in the garage where it was warm and
showed me how to. Plus everyone there is a huge car nerd,
after hours they shift from working on customer cars to
working on their own. Everything they have done for me has
been fast and well done. I recomend this place highly.

I bought my kid a 2000 vw beetle. Turns out it had a couple
of problems. One of them being a leak. Nick was a
sweetheart and so was Patrick. They told me what they had
to do, then noticed that the serpentine belt needed to be
replaced. I'm telling you I was kinda sweating the bill.
Being mildly surprised when they called me at the end of the
same business day to tell me the car was ready I went right
up there and they handed me the bill...they replaced a cabin
filter, the belt, a plastic flange (that was the leaky bit),
a oil tube, and all for under $220 dollars. I now have a
new friend, because if I know one thing about vw's, it's
that it pays to have good mechanics. They are my new ones
and if you have a vw and have problems, take it to these
guys. I am a female so have been jerked around a lot at
garages. I felt comfortable here and I trusted them. Good
people. thx guys.

I called up while on a roadtrip looking for help as my VW
Eurovan had what turned out to be an ignition switch
problem. The guys at M&M saw me right away working late to
replace the ignition switch so i could get back on the
road. On the test drive, at 6.30pm the same day, they
diagnosed an loose engine mount. I came back first thing
the next morning and they replaced the engine mount bolts
and had me out of there by 10am! They not only saved my
vacation but were great guys to work with, honest,
thorough, and very helpful. I highly recommend them!
