Gene's is owned by Sam Munzy, and has been my repair shop of choice since he was recommended to me by my transmission repair shop several years ago. The shop is clean, and always full...which indicates that lots of prople feel the same way I do about Sam. I feel that his rates are fair and reasonable considering the service he provides. In my opinion, he is just a super nice person. On more than one occasion, he will trouble shoot a "check engine" light for me, and if there isn't a problem he refuses to let me pay him. He will take the time to explain both why a repair is or is not really needed. He will call to inform me if there is a problem of which he wasn't initally aware, and explain the situation, cost, and options. He keeps a file on my Buick (as well as his other customers) and is able to trace maintenance history. My 1997 Buick has a little over 318,000 miles on it, and I have to drive 35 miles (one way) from where I live to reach Sam's shop. It may be a little inconvient, but Sam is a person I trust and will continue to use until he decides to retire. I would recommend him with out rerservations to anyone.
