I have been taking my cars to Ron's for well over 10 years and highly recommend them. I bought a used car in 1999 (I still have it!). About a year after I got the car, I had to get a new alternator. I took it to the dealership where I bought the car. A year later, the alternator died again, and this time I took it to Ron's. They asked if I really wanted them to work on it because the Dealership should warranty it out for me, but I said no. They replaced it, charged me at least $50.00 less than the dealership had the previous year, and I have never had to have it replaced again. If you live in town, they will take you home after you drop your car off (and come pick you up when it is ready). They have never been pushy about recommending work to be done; I am female and have experienced dire warnings from mechanics in the past - from Ron's if they suggest anything the tone is almost an afterthought, 'you might want to think about having X done' vs. the dire warning 'if you don't get X done your car will die when you are going 70 on a crowded freeway'. They have also fixed minor things for me for free.

The local Chrysler dealer,Travis Chrysler-Plymouth, told us we had to replace a major front end part and, since it should only be replaced in pairs, it would cost us close to $700. Having had several positive experiences before, I took the car to Ron's Automotive the next morning for a second opinion. We had a call about 2pm saying the car was ready and the charge was $35. They had to tighten two bolts!

always have had good service, open lines of communication and they've happily corrected any mistakes they've made. they don't charge for small stuff and I've never been gouged (one of the few places in this college town)

They even allow me to purchase my own parts and bring them in. Upon completion of the the work the labor is guaranteed but not the parts (if I buy them). These guys are really great and will do anything to help you. I could not think of a better place to take my car for honest repair work. Tollie Bibb

I cannot recommend Ron's Automotive highly enough. My husband and I just moved here and I bought a 10 year old Ford station wagon, which we could afford without payments. I took it to Ron's when I bought it to be sure it was in good condition. They looked it over very thoroughly, recommended a reasonable timeline for some inevitable repairs, and sent me on my way without charging me. I couldn't believe it. They didn't charge me! And they spent at least 45 minutes checking out my car -- on a very busy day for them. My brake lights went out today and I drove straight to them. At 2pm on a Friday. They were, again, REALLY busy. But they looked at my brake lights, fixed them really fast -- AND SENT ME ON MY WAY WITHOUT CHARGING ME. My husband is in school getting his Master's and I'm a stay at home mom. We're not rolling in the dough, if you know what I mean. I have been so impressed by Ron's willingness to provide a sense of service and actual concern for their customers. I'm female and I've owned a few cars. I'm used to being talked down to and given the fright treatment. (If you don't fix this, you'll die driving this car -- and kill everyone around you!!!) Ron's Automotive is such a breath of fresh air. I feel like a person when they talk to me. I have recommended them to everyone I know.

After moving to Norman and asking around for a good mechanic, several people advised me to go to Ron's. Since I have two older cars, they go into the shop quite frequently, and the staff at Ron's has always done quality work at reasonable prices. I highly recommend them.

This shop has kept my 9-year-old Subaru Forester in great shape. They always explain things clearly, never talk down to me, and are a pleasure to rely on. Can't say enough good things about them.
