a friend of mine who is a former mechanic recommended Vaughn's to me, so that was a good enough start. since then I've taken my truck and my jeep there. had to leave them overnight because of scheduling, but have zero problems. truck is turning 100,000 soon and will be due tune-up, etc. that's where it's going.

The shop is owned by brothers Danny and Dale Vaughn. They are wonderful. We depend on them. My husband and I are not car-savvy at all. We take our cars to them with a list of things to check (copied from the service manual). They could rip us off big-time if they wanted to and we'd never know it. Many times they tell us that some service we've requested is not needed. When we have a car problem, they diagnose it quickly (and accurately, because whatever they do fixes it). I hope they never retire (or at least not until I move away!)

I want to tell you this shop sucks - I dont want them to get so busy that I cant get in! But they are wonderful - cant say enough good things about them! The best and friendliest mechanics I have ever worked with.

Sent out Toyota Echo to machine shot to replace wheel bearing. I thought remaining noise was tire noise, but it got louder. After a few months, I took it back and they said either the bearing was bad or was pressed in to tight at the machine shop. They sent it out again, replaced the bearing (which was pressed in too tight) and refused to charge me anything for the second repair. Took in Toyota Camry with broken transmission shift cable. Got the car back the same day. Labor? Only $58. (What Toyota gets for its cables is another story...) I found Vaughn's recommended on this web site. I take everything there now.
