Dave, and is employees, have always been truthful, fair, and reasonably priced when it comes to repairs. He and his team of mechanics have worked on all of my family's cars and many of our friends. Once he verbally quoted a price for a repair, but he later found out that he could not get the parts for as cheap as quoted the entire repair. Dave stuck with the original estimate even though we were more than willing to pay more for the repair. How often does that happen in this (or any) business?! I would highly recommend him and his staff to anyone looking for a good, reliable, honest repair shop.

I took my truck to Tuffys and they wanted $600 for my brakes. Took it to Dave and he said $225 went to pick it up and it was a little less than that. Took it back because I thought the front brakes were making noise and told him the front was bad he called back and said the front was fine but needed rear pads and not into rotors yet but it was close. Came in to pick up and same price as 2 yrs ago and had parts for me to look at. If he wasnt honest he could have sold me front and rear and i would have happily paid. Good guy! Told me to come back in in 10-15k for the fronts .

We love Dave and the guys at Joe's, who we all call "Joe" no matter what their names are. We are "poor" and so have cars with tons of mileage, not to mention rust, dents and old bumper stickers, on them, but "Joe" always manages to squeeze out an extra few months or years from our wheezers. He has done some things for free (ie, they'll replace bulbs in tail lights, etc.) or next to nothing (finding an older tire to put on when we didn't have much $). Sometimes we say "do just the minimum" and he will, but he'll also advise what will need to be done next when we have the time and $. He also works on a lot of our friends' cars -- when we decided to buy a vehicle from one of them, "Joe" knew that car well and gave us the straight scoop on it (we bought it and it lasted about as long as he said it would.)They are all straight-shooters and we recommend them to everyone we know!

Dave has always been straight-forward with me and described any problem in detail, quoting a price for any work or repair, and when I could pick up my car. If he found something that he did not notice at first, he called and explained the new problem. He has lent me a car whenever I needed to leave my car for a few or more than a few hours and needed to be someplace rather importantly. If Dave cannot do a particular job, he lets you know rather than try to screw you. I recommend "Joe's" service shop to anyone in the Westerville area.

Joe's is without question the best service shop in Central Ohio. They tell you exactly what needs to be done, what doesn't need to be done, how much it will be and how long it will take and it's always done before they say and usually costs less. I've even left there on more than one occasion without paying a thing when they've done some sort of minor adjustment, but I also know that if Dave or any of the other guys says that it's time to replace something, it really is time.

I'm writing this review "long distance" as I live in NH. My daughter lives in Columbus, OH and called me a few days ago to say the Geo Prism (almost 200,000 miles) we gave her several years ago while she was in college began running really rough and had no power. I asked her if she knew of any good mechanics in the area and she said she didn't. After a quick look around the Find A Mechanic on I suggested she give this place a call based on reviews and its location. We were not disappointed. Work was done quickly and fairly. They gave several suggestions and then gave their recommendation based on if they owned the car. The car runs great again and it was definitely a positive experience.
