Back in 1999 while home from FL visiting family I had a leaky radiator on MPV, I called these guys, they fixed it quickly the next day. I moved back to Springfield and they have become my mechanic of choice. They have worked on my Datsun 280Z, which is mint with 33K miles, and my Chrysler New Yorker. I have dropped the car off and called late to check in. Most of the time they handle me immediately. i joke with Chip that I own several blocks in the building with the amount of work I have had them do. My inlaws have gone there and my sisters friends as a referral. I have dropped the car before with authorization to fix whatever, it was returned with no problems, no charge. Where else can you have this happen where they can't find ANYthing! Chip is an owner, Steve is the best mechanic. And if you want they will talk with you about whats wrong.

I needed a mechanic to investigate a potential charging problem on my 92 Toyota Previa. Rather than taking the car to local dealer, I found this company on CarTalk.com and thought, "what the heck." I was able to drop the car off when the shop opened at 8 o'clock. They phoned just after lunch to say that the car was fixed and gave me the amount over the phone. When I came by to pick up my vehicle, I was told exactly what work was accomplished and that the van was ready to roll. My only disappointment was that the battery did not appear to have been re-charged fully. After a short journey 'round town, everything seems to be working fine.

Recently, one owner, Chip, decided to move back to northern Ohio and sold his portion to Jamie, his partner and Jamie's father, Steve. The business is now known as S & J's. I have always found Chip, at first, and now Jamie to both be reasonable and truthful.
