I requested a particular repair and instead of just doing it, they asked me why I wanted it and recommended a cheaper altermative. And it worked!!

When I accidentally drilled a hole through the brake line of my '90 Accord, they patched it for $50. The Honda dealer wanted over $300. The patch job is still holding - three years later! Example of how they behave when they screw up: I had them fix the air conditioner a few years ago. When I went in to pick the car up the next day, all of the refrigerant had leaked out. When the manager came out to meet me and the car wasn't there, I knew something was wrong! He explained that some how they had missed a massive leak in a refrigerant line located underneath the battery. They replaced the corroded refrigerant line for the cost of the part (no labor), and refilled the system for free. It still works fine (4 years later). Once when I had taken my car in for an oil change, they noticed that one of my tires was dangerously worn. They showed me the problem, and offered to give me a servicable used tire (and mount it free) rather than see me drive out on the bad one. Maybe this was a marketing ploy, but I think that they were concerned that I might not be able to afford a new one (I tend to drive cars until the wheels fall off). Instead of taking there offer, I bought 4 new tires. My wife and I really trust this shop, and take most of our repair work there. They will even turn away work, rather than sub-contracting it, and recommend other shops (as they did when our transmission went out).

Have found them to be honest and courteous, always willing to explain the options and have never had reason to question any work or billing. On the rare occasion I have had to return for additional work or for the same problem, they have taken appropriate responsibility and the financial arrangement was fair. My mother-in-law (rest her soul) drove into her 90's and this shop showed great patience with her car problems and never took advantage of her. This shop is a true gem. Only problem is grid-lock in their parking lot.

John Adams and his staff provide the most competent and honest auto service I have ever experienced. Our household has three Hondas and, with the exception of warranty service, USA Tire and Auto has taken care of all our auto service and tire needs for the past five years. John Adams is a hands-on owner and his commitment to customer service has filtered down to his entire staff. Beware though, they have been discovered by lots of car owners in the east Dayton suburbs and don't take appointments. Empty parking spots are always hard to find.

This shop has worked on both our older Toyota vehicles and have always fixed the problem correctly the first time and at very reasonable prices. I've never felt like I had been taken advantage of at this shop.

I already commented previously, but I can still say they are the best!! They are always honest and charge a fair price. They go above and beyond, explain everything to you, respect you, and yes, they treat women and men with the same respect. When you walk into the shop in the morning, there is always a group of older gentlemen standing around talking while their cars are getting whatever they need done to them. This, to me, is the sign of a good mechanic shop. The old fellows, who are used to maintaining their own cars, but can't anymore, because cars have become so complex, wouldn't trust that work to anybody they didn't trust. I give John Adams and his team the highest recommendation I can and suggest everybody who has had a bad mechanic experience and those who haven't, to see John. He will restore your faith that there are still some honest mechanics out there.

I have been going to this shop for over 20 years, and they have always been outstanding to deal with. John has been there the entire time and often will be behind the desk helping customers. They epitomize customer focus!
