In the almost 10 years that John has worked on my1980 Mazda RX7, his labor charge has never been more than the cost of the parts. He will not hesitate to tell you if the repair is not necessary for the age of the car. He will even go to the junk yard to find a part if a new one i s not necessary. I would not hesitate to tell any one to go there.

I recently had a brake problem where the system was losing fluid and the pedal felt soft. John located the problem right away. The brake lines from the master cylinder to the front brakes were leaking and almost rusted through. The lines to the rear brakes were inspected and declared OK. Obviously, he could have told me that the lines to both front and rear brakes were bad and it could have cost me a bundle to replace everything. I feel that he repaired only what was needed to remain safe and the charge for parts and labor was very reasonable. Nice neighborhood shop and a nice guy to do business with.

I had transmission noises and took my 1990 Mazda truck to John for his opinion about what to do. After his tear down and inspection he informed me that a major bearing where the transmission connects to the engine needed replaced and that the clutch throwout bearing and pressure plate were worn but that due to the age and mileage on the truck that he wouldn't recommend the extra cost for those repairs. He could have very easily have told me that the truck wouldn't run without all the repairs. Instead he replaced only the major bearing and the thing ran fine for the next couple of years, until it was totaled by a drunk who hit it in the rear while it was parked on the street. The nut shoved the truck clear up in my yard! I would, and have, highly recommend John. In fact I suggested to the fleet manager of the company where I work that he send repairs to John. They have done so, and the manager has had his personal van worked on by John also. The biggest problem with John's service is getting an appointment. He's so busy that sometime it takes a week or so to get in, but that in it's self speaks highly of his work, don't you think?
