My Dad recommended RNS to me years ago. It simply is a great, no-frills place with mechanics as highly qualified as you'll find anywhere. They check my car well enough that sometimes they find some little thing that would have become a big thing. Once I took in my car for a little brake work--they did an extra step in checking and found that the brake lining had done some weird thing of wearing unevenly where it looked at a glance like it was ok--but was actually almost gone. Another shop would have missed it--and I'd have missed my brakes when I needed them. Another time I was having trouble with my transmission and it turned out a family member of mine had put the put the spark plug things on the distributor cap in the wrong order. Another shop would have been happy to sell me some unneeded transmission work. For honesty, quality, and competence, I can trust these guys.

I've used RNS off and on for many years. I have always been impressed with their honesty, willingness to explain everything clearly and their reasonable rates. I took my Buick LeSabre to them for many years and have absolutely no negative feedback from that experience. However, I've recently taken my 2001 Chevy Prizm to them for a re- occuring "Check Engine" light that they have not been able to fix. My opinion is that they are more experienced w/American cars & not as familiar with some of the more complicated Japanese designs.

Bob, Jeff & Ron have always been up front and easy to use. They have come through in a pinch, a time or two, over the years. Had a window problem with my Camry, and despite putting two new motors in the driver side door, it still never worked properly, so I might not be back with any power window issues... Overall, they are very nice and do a great job of communicating what the problem is, and how it might/should be fixed.
