Several years ago, I took my 1985 Renault Encore (believe me, that car is long gone) to a certain national chain for a front end alignment. They told me I needed new inner and outer tie rods on both sides. Then I took it to Leipold, where they replaced just one outer tie rod (the only one that was bad), saving me a significant sum of money. This was the first of many similar instances. All mechanics at Leipold Tire are exceptionally honest. They thoroughly explain necessary repairs and clearly distinguish between necessary and optional repairs (like if you're planning to get rid of the clunker within 6 months, and it's not dangerous to drive, don't fix it - let the next owner take care of it). The prices are fair - not quite the lowest in town, but close to it, and they only fix what needs to be repaired or replaced.

Very informative employees:suggestions for tires and car work done at other places;trans.,body work. I felt I was talking with friends who were car guys too. The tires I bought were installed quickly and performed as promised. I was so impressed with the shop that I returned the next day for brakes.I'll go back for oil changes and alignments. I may be done with the dealer for any future work on my truck. I was also impressed with the way they treated other people who came to the shop for various problems, work or just air in their tires.Everyone was treated well. The owner was working the day I went in for brakes,he treated his employees as partners;with respect. They treated him as a coach.Just my observation. They don't know they are on this net site.
