Both Acceleration and Motorkars in Columbus, OH are by far the best repair shops I've dealt with anywhere! I contacted them to do a 120k service on my '99 Subaru Outback. John gave me a very comprehensive quote with various options. The car was repaired within the same day and ready for pick up. The overall cost were lower then quoted and he clearly explained the work that was done. As I said my car has some miles on it and he was very honest about unnecessary repairs and gave good information on any potential problems that I had to keep an eye on.

I started going to Acceleration on the advice of a friend. I originally had just bought a used Volvo from a dealer and within a month realized it needed new engine mounts. The dealer agreed to do it a cost but they were an hour away. I called Jon and asked him what his costs were, his parts price was the same as the dealers, but I would have to pay labor at his shop and the dealer was throwing in the labor. When I mentioned this he said he wanted to "earn my business" and he would do it at the dealer's parts price. He did a great job and has been my family's mechanic ever since. I have recommended numerous friends to him and they have become Accelerationites too! Some things to note: -They only work on foreign cars. I now have a Milan and am bummed that I can't take it to them. -They will always give you the broken or replaced parts. They often offer them and show me even when I don't ask. -They are very honest and will work with you. -They only will recommend actual things that need fixing. No need to worry about whether you need the service or not. -They have serviced Audi's, Honda's, Volvo's, and Volksgagen's for me and my friends and have done a great job. -They even helped me find someone who wanted to buy my VW Passatt that needed a new engine due to oil sludge issues. (Don't recommend buying another VW ever they don't stand behind their obvious engine design issues). Once you go to them, you will use them for life and recommend your friends to them. PS: Once you get your car serviced there, buy them a pizza from Papa john's next door.

My 2002 Nissan Altima (4cyl)recently developed a rattling sound in the engine. I took it to the local Nissan dealer, and they said I probably needed a new set of lifters or maybe a whole new engine! To even diagnose the problem, they wanted several hundred dollars. So I went to Acceleration. They changed my oil and added an additive, and guess what - the noise went away. Apparently, lifters can get 'gummy' over time. My most recent visit was due to the check engine light coming on. Turns out I need some exhaust work done - John went over everything including prices and outlined how to get it done without breaking the bank. He even printed out a picture of the exhaust system on my car so I could see what he was talking about. Amazing! Needless to say, I am now a loyal Acceleration Customer.

I took my 2006 Honda Element to ACCELERATION (on North High St.) for service. Without any fee, crew reviewed all problems I had and John called my cell to let me know what they'd found and gave me a few options to tackle each of the issues at hand with the rationale behind each. Quick, friendly service, and cheaper than the dealership. I would recommend these guys!
