My vehicle is 13 years old. After taking it to several "national chain" shops and spending lots of money over and over (front end vibrations) I finally decided I really needed an OVER ALL assessment of the vehicle to decide if it was worth pouring more money into it. I was up front with John that I would pay for a thorough check but not sure that I would actually be fixing the things he found. He gave me a VERY thorough verbal report covering windshield wiper motor, radiator hoses, water pump, front wheel bearings, and transmission grinding. Apparently much of the front brake work and replacement of front suspension pieces recently may not have been needed since the "looseness" was the bearings. After telling me what all the problems were and the prices associated he HONESTLY told me "I would not be putting more money into this vehicle - it is on its last legs and will just continue to cost you a lot to keep it running." Can you believe it an auto shop that did itself out of $1500+ in business to give me HONEST advice!!! Oh yes he also alerted me that the cheapy oil change shops were not lubricating the grease jackets on my front suspension and that was contributing to these pieces wearing out so quickly. All in all every time I have dealt with John he has been very honest. I should not have gone back to the chain shops but since John is not open on the weekends and I am single it is a little bit of a challenge to get my vehicle in.

I have been taking my car to John's Auto for couple years now. Every one of my friends recommend them. Chuck, the mechanic who worked on my car, was super nice and was always very polite and takes time to explain things before working on it. They are very honest, if there something they can't fix they won't charge me for it. I took my car in for brake works Chuck advised me it's still good for another 6000 miles.

I have always dealt with Chuck, but the other mechanics are very good and polite. Chuck is just beyond polite. He knows his stuff and doesn't try to sell repairs that are not needed. I've taken my car to dealerships thinking I would get "premium" knowledge and care for the car, but always end up at John's when the dealership doesn't measure up.
