My lug studs snapped off while I was getting on the highway because they were probably too tight, (maybe my fault), and even though it's not something they do a lot, they gave me a good price to replace them. Their estimate matched the factory labor times, and their rate is good. I bought a couple of tires while I was there. The bill had no surprises, and they even switched rims with the spare because of the damage to the rim from the lug studs breaking. I am so pleased with them that I feel like just throwing extra money at them for being trustworthy and competent. Next time, I am taking donuts with me.

They have repaired or replaced tires on many of our cars over the years. The prices are always the best for the quality, and they are always friendly. I would not go anywhere else for tires.

From a short talk I wrote about them for Toastmasters: Last week, as I walked into one of my favorite establishments, I noticed a quotation prominently displayed for all to see: "In the world's broad field of battle; in the bivouac of life, be not like dumb driven cattle - be a hero in the strife." Henry Wadsworth Longfellow I sat down with a fresh cup of coffee, and though I didn't have my laptop handy, if I had brought it I could have logged into this establishment's free wireless internet service. Instead, I picked up and read a complimentary copy of the newspaper. What establishment do you think I was in? Panera Bread? Or perhaps Cup O' Joe? I wonder if you were thinking, "tire dealer"? What kind of a tire dealer has an inspiring Longfellow quotation prominently displayed in its store? This particular tire dealer is the kind of place that knows something about service and treating customers right. It's a 4th-generation family owned-business that has seen many competitors come and go since it was founded 100 years ago as a blacksmith business, putting shoes on horses. That quotation I mentioned is permanently affixed in block letters to the glass door of the owner??s office, so that's the first thing he sees every morning. Clearly this man is someone driven to excellence. The name of this inspiring business is ET Paul Tire, and they're located on Parsons Ave. just a short walk from State Auto. Normally, I like to enjoy the walk outdoors from there to here, but even that's not necessary since the manager always offers me a free ride to work. I can't tell you how many times I've been simply overwhelmed with their service, like the two times I bought tires and I swear it took no more than 20 minutes for them to mount and balance all 4 tires. Or the other times when I've gone back for rotations and other adjustments, and the service was "no charge". Needless to say, ET Paul has earned my loyalty in these and many other ways, with their outstanding service both on and off the shop floor. They add plenty of intangible value to a tangible commodity like tires. I'm not sure which was more inspiring, the quotation itself or the fact the owner posted it and takes customer service seriously. Either way, I think ET Paul is an excellent inspiration to anyone involved in a service business. Next time you need tires or brakes done I highly recommend paying a visit to ET Paul. I hope they are as big an inspiration to you as they are to me.
