Best place in town to take your Volvo - I had two Volvo 240DL's at the same time, would always tell me what needed/didn't need fixed. Very honest and down to Earth. Even though I don't have my Volvos any more, I've referred EAW to five people at work. They all take their Volvos there now and love the place. Repair prices can be very high sometimes, but expect it if you drive a Volvo.

I bought a Volvo from my mother that had been serviced eat European Auto Works in 1995. She had started going there in the late 80s and I continued to have the car serviced there until the car was lost in Nebraska. Steve was always upfront about what the car needed and what it didn't--he serviced the car for the last 275,000 miles (of 350,000) and it was running great right up until I hit a cow with it.

The mechanics have driven the car to their homes on several occasions when they need to check out a problem more thoroughly or when it only happens on start-up. (they have asked for permission first!) They're good folks.

Steve and co. do one thing and do it well: Volvos. If you have a Volvo in central Ohio, this is the only place to go. They love Volvos and know them inside and out, they take pride in their work, and they run a pleasant and friendly shop. Why on earth anyone would ever go to the dealer for Volvo repairs when European Auto is available is a mystery to me. They are not cheap, but they are efficient and they do the job right the first time. (Do you want it done cheap or do you want it done right? Well worth the money.)

I've known these folks for 20 years now. They have worked on 10 of my family's Volvos...with my wife, son, and two daughters as customers [plus me]. We have always received prompt, courteous, competent, and reasonable has everyone I've referred to them. I trust them...and would probably have switched from volvos to another make years ago, but they don't work on anything else!! Barry Jackson

Dr. Volvo really does love the cars and they take great care of our 1995 Volvo. It is a real haul for us to get there (an hour, sometimes more with traffic), but we try to take it to them even for the regular oil changes, since they are on top of our repairs and let us know about approaching problems before they affect our driving. I wish they were open Saturdays, but it's not their fault that we live so far away, and that's really our only complaint. The staff are all incredibly nice, honest, and cheerful. They always explain what's going on with the engine/car, and their prices seem reasonable. They also treat a 10-year old car with the same respect as a new car. I was crushed when I realized the "European" in their name does not extend to Volkswagons...

Steve is the best! He's a great guy who always goes the extra mile (pun intended) to fix your car and treat you well. If you own a Volvo there's no place to go in central Ohio but European Auto Works!
