West Fork doesn't charge for work that doesn't need to be done. If they think you don't need it, they'll tell you, rather than just doing it to make a buck. Several times, they've fit me in at a moment's notice. Even if you can't get "same day service," you can always get in pretty quickly. They work mostly on Hondas, Toyotas, Volvos, and Saabs, although they'll do almost anything that comes in. Joe works mostly on the "domestic imports" (Hondas and Toyotas) while Steve does most of the foreign imports (Saabs, etc.). The waiting area gets a little smoky from time to time, but it's not too bad. And you can always step out for some fresh air and a milkshake, since there's a convenience store just a block away.

I've been taking my vehicles to Joe & Steve for 24 years --
except for brief periods when I had a new one, and got
certain dealer service "free," or when I needed to see a
dealer to not void the warranty. I can't say enough about
them. If they can't find anything wrong. they often don't
charge you. They never talk down to women;they're
tremendously friendly and helpful, and usually know my voice
when I call. I don't think I would have been able to keep
my vehicles as long as I do (10 - 13+ years) without them. I
wish they'd have a school, to train mechanics to be just
like them. My only suggestion for improvement -- install a
customer washroom.

Joe Kattus has been all my cars' mechanic since my first-bought auto ('66 VW bug in 1974). Even tho his specialty is foreign cars, he worked on 4 (yes, I said FOUR) Dodge Omni/Plymouth Horizons that I tolerated/enjoyed from 1979-1997. Now that I have FINALLY purchased a car that he's been recommending forever (Honda Civic EX, '93), I expect to drive it, and Joe to work on it, for 250K miles! Joe Kattus is one of the best mechanics in town.

Joe and Steve are very honest and up front they have been
doing work for me and my extended family and friends for
over 20 years. They are a no frills type of shop that
just gets the job done!

They have kept my Honda Accord on the road for years.
Always fair and honest and will do what they can to keep
you as a customer.

Excellent mechanics; Joe & Steve treat women with respect. On my
recommendation, a friend took her car to them, from across town -- and they
saved her HUNDREDS over what the VW dealer said was needed! Been going to
them for 25+ years. Don't know WHAT I will do when they retire. :( Buy a horse,
I guess.

Joe and Terry have been working on my cars for also 40
years which kinda sucks as they will be retiring in a few
years.
What impresses me most is how honest these guys have been
with me, my wife and both of my girls.
There have been times when my girls were in college that, I
know, they way UNDERcharged for their services as they knew
the girls a little money.
There were times when I know they could have taken me to
the cleaners but said they found some very minor thing and
fixed it for no charge.
I have recommended Joe and Terry to at least 50 people.
There's no coffee, no fancy waiting area, no loaner cars
just good honest and resonable service.
