I was recommended Star motors by a relative. It was a half mile drive from my house just off the UC campus, and easy to find. Got there, brought in my car, talked to the owner for a bit, left to have lunch, and got a call within an hour or two with the prognosis. Granted, it was not one I wanted to hear (I thought I just had a leak in my power stearing fuel line, but instead the whole system was cracked), but he was honest about what he needed to do and what he was using to do it.

They are wonderful and always treat me fairly. The car was a delivery vehicle for the company I worked for before I bought it and you would never know it had been driven so much because I/they treat it so well.

Wouldn't take my cars to any other shop.

I thought I needed a major repair to the suspension in my Camry and was prepared to have to pay a lot of money. Star looked at it and said it was within specs. No charge. They could have taken me for hundreds of dollars. When my sons were learning to drive and wrecking my cars, Star got a lot of business. I needed some minor work on the wheels of my car. Star did the work and told me "no charge, you've paid us enough lately."

As it turned out, they were more expensive than the dealer. They incrementally raised the cost of the repair, finding new things after the first were fixed.. I should have gone to the dealer instead. I went to them because they were closer, shame on me.
