My car will commit harikari when Tom Bonhaus retires. He kept my old Ford Escort going 148,000 miles and then helped me get my present Toyota car, giving me sound advice and the remark "It's a good car and anyway you look 10 yrs younger driving it." Honest to a fault.

This man is a God sent. He is the best. You can trust this shop like no other shop in town.

Tom is the most honest mechanic I've ever encountered. Good pricing and good service. I remember one situation where my car had an idling problem. I dropped by to see Tom. He test drove the car with me and the car invariably acted up for him. Eventually, he said: "You're buying that cheap Kroger Gas, aren't you?" I answered "YES"! He told me my Focus doens't like that gas and if I'd stop buying it, the problem will go away. Sure enough, the problem went away after I switched to a new gas station. Tom rocks! He knows I'll be bakc for my required maintenance, so he was able to provide this good neighbor advise for free. He's not always the cheapest, but his service and honesty are too valuable. I hope he never retires!

Tom (the owner) is an honest guy and I feel good that he doesn't try to "take me to the cleaners". My guess is that mechanics are not always considered honest...but Tom breaks that mold. He's there at 5 a.m. and let's the regional bus drivers in to use his "facilities"...nice guy.

Whenever I can't fix something myself or with the help of my mechanic friend, I go to Tom. Every time I have a repair or bit of maintenance done, I tell people and get the same response: "Wow...that's a pretty good deal!" I'd recommend him to anyone, so much in fact that my parents will drive their busted vehicles 30+ miles to get to his shop. Tom's a great asset to the's great to have someone you can trust in this business.

Tom is the best. Not perfect, but better than any other shop in town. He is honest and will never try to sell you something you don't need. I am a ten year long customer and wish I had found Tom 40 years ago. He is a pleasure to deal with. He is retiring in a few years and I will miss him greatly.
