Mr. Doug Lampson is a natural with both people and cars. He is honest, fair, adept, and what is especially great about what he does is he develops a maintenance program that is very cost effective and suggests preventative measures sure to keep you OUT of the shop for as long as possible. He kept me on the road in my 1986 GM car for the better part of a decade, at a cost of just about $20 per month. He runs a small, clean shop where they perform a wide variety of services.

When I moved to Cincinnati last year I picked Doug and his garage based on the other reviews here. I have not been disappointed. Doug is professional and honest and always has my car ready when he says he will. I have (fortunately) not had to have any major repairs since coming to Doug. However he has provided excellent preventative maintenance. He even told me early on that I did NOT need new brakes when I thought I might (it's several thousand miles later and my brakes are fine) - how often does THAT happen? One warning: Doug's shop entrance is not on Clifton Ave (it's on Warner Street). Don't be fooled into going to another garage that IS right on Clifton Ave just 2 blocks down from there (they are very dishonest).

I initially used this website to guide me to a competent repair shop for a Park Avenue Ultra. Doug and his team are honest, and reasonably priced. He had many opportunities to do additional work, but explained that it was not necessary. I will continue to use his services...Great find!! Neighborhood is on the fringe, but I've had no trouble in daylight hours.

I took my daughter's Cavalier here for brake work because of the good reviews here, and it's close to her house. Okay, so it looks a little iffy from the outside - and parking is, well, fun. But they were awesome. They called before doing any work. They fixed the problem, and we haven't had to go back yet. Finding the place is a challenge. Call them first and they'll explain how to find them. Don't let Clifton scare you. They'll take good care of your car.

I brought my beloved 1989 Honda Accord to Doug Lampson for a timing belt repair, and he treated it (and me) with absolute respect. He didn't talk down to me like just a girl with a junky old car and let me know that one of the suggested repairs turned out to not be necessary, but that I would do well to take care of a couple of other small things. I got it back the same day, and it doesn't run like a junky old car anymore! I chose his shop somewhat arbitrarily (based on the site ratings and proximity to my house), and I'm very pleasantly surprised. I would bring my car here again, no doubt.
