We've been taking our cars to Ted for 20 years. He is
friendly, honest and really seems to care about what he is
doing. As a woman he talks to me - not just to my husband -
with fairness and always takes the time to explain what
they're doing. Ted, his son, and one other mechanic are
the only staff so you are always dealing with someone you
know and trust.

Danny and company are a great find. I have been very
disappointed with dealers. Unfortunately, since I moved to
Cincinnati I have never had a resource to find a competent
mechanic, until I thought to use the Cartalk website to
research. The last time I was at the VW dealer (around
7,000 miles ago) they told me I needed new front brake pads
and possibly rotors. It was this work and a few other
service items I had asked Danny to perform. It was a
pleasant surprise to receive his telephone call informing me
that the front brakes were fine. He could have easily done
what I had asked based on the dealer's recommendation. In
that one telephone call he proved the other reviewer's
comments on his honesty. The work he did complete was
handled with quality and was finished well before I had
expected. He also took some extra time at the end of his
day to give me information on how I could re-configure my
alarm which had stopped working when I changed the battery
on the alarm fob. The dealer wanted to charge me $75.00 for
this "reprogramming". I will make it a point to tell others
of his shop and will definitely be returning in future.

When we bought our 1990 Volvo 740, we checked with friends who
owned Volvos and they were unanimous--there was only one place
to take it. The owner, Dan Sweet (and he really is) is dubbed
St. Daniel. He's simply the best. Honest, friendly, plain-
spoken and he and his staff take immense pride in their work.
When we were looking for a 240 for our son, Dan helped us to
find exactly what we were looking for.
They handle more than Volvos, of course. I've seen everything
from Land Rovers to Toyotas and Jaguars on his bays.
Sadly, they don't have Saturday hours but he puts in the hours
during the week.
