When my father would roll in with his barely alive 83 chevette Ron always asked 'How much is too much?'. When I dropped off my dead 81 rabbit without an appointment, he called me up two days later, told me to junk it, and told me he wouldn't charge me a thing if it was gone by Monday. He has always been honest, relatively inexpensive and does a great job, especially considering the cars we have rolled in to his shop. Just call ahead. It usually takes about a week to get an apointment.

I've been dealing with this owner/mechanic for 25 years and have never had a complaint. His business is based strictly on word of mouth advertising from satisfied customers. Been in business for at least 35 years (father, then son, in same location). As example of their service, recently I took my Toyota in with what I was sure was a clutch in need of replacement. Ron took ten minutes to make a pedal adjustment and told me that was the only problem. When I asked what I owned him, his reply was "Nothing. I'll get you next time you're in." In summary, small town location southeast of Dayton, OH is inconvenient, Ron doesn't have much high tech equipment, no fancy waiting lounge with TV, coffee pot or pop machine, no fancy line of bull, but he is scrupulously honest and "tells it as it is." If he can't fix it he'll tell you so without wasting your time and his playing guessing games.

They have worked on every car that my family has had since we moved back to Ohio. My father, Mother, Brother, and myself have been their at least a dozen times for repairs to our vehicles. They are honest, competent, and priced accordingly. He won't make you get repairs that don't need to be made. Great Mechanic!

Local chain repair shop said they would fix my breaks for $550, Brookside did it for $150. Down to earth owners and mechanics who believe in treating the customers with honesty and straight-forward service.
