As a young, female, college student, most mechanics treated me like I didn't need to know anything about the repairs except how to sign the bill. John was different from the first time I took my vehicle there. He always offers to explain things before I have a chance to ask, tells me step by step what he is doing, and more importantly, never charged me more than my meager student wages could afford. He really amazed me when he replaced my exhaust system and even showed me the holes in my pipes both while they were on the car, and after they were replaced. I have no doubt in my mind that he is honest. He has owned his business in our small town, for several years, and yet he often goes back to school for more training so he can keep up with today's vehicles. Who could ask for a better mechanic?

I actually live in Maryland, but my folks still live in Sidney. Whenever I'm coming close to a repair or routine maintenance and I'm visiting the folks, I'll save the work for John. John has worked on several cars that I have owned. He offers a fair price and explains to you any repairs, recommendations, etc. in great detail. You get a good sense that he doesn't make unncessary repairs. He also does a lot of research on the industry so he keeps up with the times. My only wish is that he had a shop close to my home in Maryland. BTW. . . I provided "Not Answered/Don't Know" with regard to responding well when they screw up because John has never screwed up with my cars.
