When I first moved to the area, my old Ford died right by this shop. The mechanic diagnosed a dead battery and offered to replace it with a battery from a REALLY dead car at no charge. Later when I had my '91 Mitsubishi, I began to take it in for maintenance and repairs. When a needed repair did not fix the problem I was having of the car revving constantly, the mechanic tried to adjust it several times at no charge before recommending the more costly repair which did the trick. I have since moved to SC and had promised myself that I would turn these guys in to you. They deserve it.

It was such a relief to find Rich and his staff. They are so patient, never talk down to me (I'm a young female), and always have time to drive around with me, listening to pings and rattles. They call me and ok anything that will change the price of my repairs before they do it, and they never make me feel like I'm a bad person if I want to do it the cheap way. They always take responsibility for everything they do, and they take the time to explaine their work in English. Most importantly, they do great work, and my car is in much better shape. I've sent a few friends to Rich, and they've all been just as enthusiastically supried and pleased. Best mechanics I've ever had.

I've been bring my cars (now 3, ages 8-15 years) here for about 8 years. Rich and Ken are great. They take the time to explain everything. I've never had a problem with their work. They appear honest. They always call to explain all the options before beginning the repairs. My only complaint is their hours: they close at about 6, and are not open Saturdays.

My family has been using Rich for about 18 years as far as i can tell (i am 18 years old). They have consistently provided great service although it can be a little pricey. Just recently we asked them to tell us what engine code our check engine light was giving, they did it but it cost $70, sort of pricey for a quick hookup to the computer. Nevertheless we have always been able to trust that we will get reliable honest service there.

I trust them so much that when we FINALLY had to get rid of my mom's Volvo which they had kept alive for 24 years I insisted that they give their blessing to the next car she got. I didn't want to risk them not wanting to work on her car!! I'm also happy to drive from Boston down to Long Island if my car's problem isn't urgent so that they can fix it. They are FANTASTIC!!

These guys are really great. I have a very beat up '93 Corolla that I will only bring to Village. They explain whatever questions you might have and only perform what needs to be performed on your car, no adding on an extra chrome tail pipe like you'll get at Monro. Prices are reasonable -- you'll pay a tad more than the national companies, but those companies tend to do mediocre or worse work and use parts that always tend to fall apart a month after their warranty. Village takes pride in their work and keeping their loyal customers.

A very good well run shop. They do very good work but I find them to be a bit expensive compared to other places.
