One of the questions was whether the shop responds well when they screw something up. I have been going to Darryl's since 1977 and I have never had him screw anything up so I have no knowledge of this. I always have very old, high mileage cars that are running on their last breath and he has always nursed my cars along for me and kept me running. He is totally honest and will not do a repair or maintenance if it is not needed. I highly recommend this garage to anybody. In fact, I have - my siblings, father, and friends now all go to Darryl's!

when ever i go there to get something from an oilchange to new gas tank they allways let me in the shop area, and its all we do is break each others chops. Darryl is a great guy and is frank and joe. I have been using darryl since I started driving , my parents have used him even when i was kid.

Darryl is a great mechanic & a great guy. He's very straightforward & always explains what the problem is; he doesn't do unnecessary repairs. I have no hesitation at all recommending him.

We found Darryl's here on the Mechanix files. 12 years ago we took my teenage son's 1990 Park Avenue to Darryl with a fuel line problem. Our prior mechanic, also found on these pages, but committed to "doing it right or not at all" had quoted $600. I'm sure it was a fair price for the work, but it was a death-sentence for the beloved Buick. Darryl found a safe, effective solution, and we were out in less than an hour for $35. The car ran another three years without another related problem. We've been taking the various cars of my five kids, my wife and me ever since. Darryl doesn't compromise on safety - he has forcibly retired some of our more desperate examples of automotive frugality. When my daughter moved to Virginia, we always had the car in to Darryl when she visited. We trust Darryl, Frank and the guys to treat our car as they would theirs, from the 1989 Escort they kept running for way longer than we expected, to our late-model Odyssey and Avalon. Can't recommend these folk highly enough.
