For the quick and minor items he has often not charged a fee. Even after stating a probable fee, he has skipped it at times. He will usually take me right away if I am in a bind.

They were a referral from a neighbor who has used them for
years. I have had my car(s) repaired there and feel VERY
comfortable. It's nice to have an honest mechanic.
I do not bring my car(s) their for simple jiffy lube type
work...he can be very busy..but has always made time if
really needed. For example my daughter was driving for
college the next day..and I was worried about a noise and
even though he was busy with many cars etc. he had me come
by, and took a look and reasured me. Extremly professional
and friendly.
