We have been taking our cars to Mike for over 5 years. I have complete confidence in his work - I would not hesitate to drop off the car and say "Just take care of whatever it needs." I know he will not rip us off, and his work is always first rate. The only complaint I have is that due to his quality, he ALWAYS has a lot full of cars to work on, so it sometimes takes a little longer to get work done. However, he and his staff are usually there until 10pm nightly working on cars.

Mike Ferrari runs a great operation. He really understands cars, possesses excellent common sense, has great diagnostic equipment, is a real boy scout (trustworthy, friendly, courteous, kind, fair, etc.), is open late/early and is located adjacent to the train station. It's wonderful to find a guy look this whose boat payment I want to make! He's earned the pedestal on which I've placed him multiple times.

Ferrari's is awesome. I absolutely agree with the other comments here--I trust him 100% and would not take my vehicle anywhere else. He is extremely busy, and it may take some time to work on your vehicle, but it's totally worth it.

I have used Ferrari's for a number of years, but now I am going elsewhere. The problem is that they are just too busy, they don't take firm appointments and they can be very slow getting your car repaired - like a week slow. I wish they would have real appointments and that they would stick to a schedule.

I used to work around the corner from Mike's garage, and it has a great reputation, so I began using them for a few years. I stopped after about 3-4 years because I simply got fed up with the nonsense. While I believe that the work is done well, there were a number of issues that I eventually couldn't ignore given the sheer number of other places in the area. First issue is timeliness. I get that Mike's is busy, but either turn people away, tell them the TRUTH of when you'll get to the car, or expand. I don't like being told it should take a day or two to end up losing my car for a week or more. This is Long Island, you can't do anything without a car. Second issue is about keeping your word, which I realize is fairly related. Every time I dropped off my car I asked them to call with an estimate BEFORE doing the work. I was just out of graduate school with a baby and things were tight. Never got a call, AND I'm talking $500 to $700 bills for things like brakes. I don't need my hand held for a $20 oil change, but how dare you feel entitled to spend my money when I asked to be told. I did complain a few times to Mike, who apologized, but like I said above, eventually enough was enough. Basically, I feel that you should go to Mike Ferrari's place with your eyes open and your wallet clutched tight. That said, I do believe the work is done well, and I never felt that he padded the bill with unnecessary work.
