I have to pinch myself before I begin. I can't believe I have auto repair story with a happy ending. I had an accident with my car in of all places my self park garage. I dinged noticely the right side back quarter panel right above the wheel (dent and paint damage). I took the vehicle around to a few places and received bids that made me sick. How could it cost so much to fix an isolated panel? I was told it's due to paint blending with the other panels. Oh, and every place said it would take at least a week. At about my wits end, my wife told me about 'cartalk.com'. I found A&A Import and brought the car around. I was amazed. Joe, the main guy, took a look, gave me a very reasonable price and said it would take 2 days. I started asking him about 'blending' and he said assuredly "Don't worry, it will look as good as new". In 2 days the car was ready and perfect. It was like I went back in time to before the accident. It's great to have peace of mind now that I have a mechanic and body shop I can trust for life. I RECOMMEND HIGHLY !!!

After getting into an accident (a fender-bender) and getting outrageous quotes from other shops in New York, I was very happy to find A & A Imports on Car Talk. I was truly impressed by how honest and efficient they are. Both Joe and Lynn are also very nice. The body work on my 02 Accord was great and the cost was very reasonable. It was also complete in only two days for me to pick up the car on December 31st.

Joe Pon, their chief mechanic, couldn't have been more courteous, helpful and efficient. The group is very professional and capable and I am truly impressed. They did a class-A job repairing my damaged 2000 Volvo that the insurance company had written off. I wish I'd discovered them years ago.

I found them on car talk. I have never seen such a clean and organized shop before. They are true professionals.

I found them on your website and switched to them from the dealer from which I had purchased my car. Their work has been excellent, the estimates right on target, and Lynn, the office manager, has always taken the time to explain what services she and Joe Pon, the owner/manager, recommended, and their relative importance, always making it clear which ones were imperative. The appearance of the shop, magnificent to behold, exudes competence.

I brought my '03 Hyundai Elantra to them after I broke a lug stud on the tire and another repair shop in NJ messed up a serpentine belt change and I couldn't get back there. Not only did they fix the belt and give me back the old one so I could exchange it when I had time to get back to the old shop, but they also identified and fixed a second broken lug stud on the same tire, and all for less than the NJ shop (their labor prices are surprisingly cheap for NYC). The front desk lady is not only courteous but knowledgeable about cars, they repair promptly and call you when it's finished, and it's right off the FDR and a short walk to the subway. Given how tricky it can be to find a decent mechanic around here, they have a customer in me for as long as I'm in the city.
