I love just spontaneously dropping the cars(Subaru and Volvo) off in the morning and picking it up a few hours later. Mark is takes an approach to his business that suits me and my wife really well. If they can do it, they do it and provide whatever explanation requested without hesitation (actually seem eager to do it). What's more important to me is that when they can't do it, they don't charge for the investigation and provide a recommendation as to who might be able to do it--NOTE: this happened only with a computer related problem in the Subaru and something with an 14 year old Volvo. They can usually get the job done. Mark has even helped me advocate for the dealership to repair to a 3 year old Subaru problem that was no longer under warrantee (and it was successful). The guys at Fleet are great.

Mark has found problems in my 1993 Prizm that I hadn't realized- tire, struts, etc. He doesn't just fix the problem at hand but also checks other systems. If the problem is easy to fix, sometimes he doesn't charge. If I pull in in a panic, he checks my car immediately. His name, Skillman, says it all and he's a nice guy as well.

The guy who owns the shop is fun and nice to talk to. He never yanked me around and was much more interested in keeping customers than making the most he could from every transaction. I once took my car to him because my hood wouldn't latch. He looked at it, pulled a wire and the hood latched fine. He didn't charge me a dime for this 30 second repair job. Just a really great guy.

I've used Fleet for years, for everything from oil changes to timing belts, a competent, honest mechanic.

I'm a big fan of Mark Skillman. He's done preventative maintenance on my 97 Honda for the last 3-4 years, and has always played it straight. Replaced the timing belt and water pump, but looked at the other items on the preventative maintenance checklist and deferred what wasn't needed. Told me that I needed a CV joint replacement, but passed my inspection, saying that I could defer it until winter. When my wife bent a rim on a hard pothole, he found a junkyard rim (saved me quite a bit), and tested the tire and found it to be okay. When the very slow leak revealed itself (flat tire after we were gone for 2 weeks), he came and helped her put on the donut, took it back to his shop, and replaced the tire. I paid for the tire & labor, but nothing for the house visit. Can't recommend more highly.
