These guys are GREAT !!! We had a horrible experience with the dealer, and they got us driving our car again like it was from day 1!!! They were timely, polite, honest, and made recommendations to save us money!!! We now have a mechanic that will earn our business and treats us professionally. We will now only take our VW here.!! I strongly recommend them for our car repairs, they are the BEST!!!

I have come very close to selling my '99 Jetta because I cannot find a service department at any of the dealerships that I can really trust. I was resigned to the fact that I would rather sell my car and buy another Subaru just because I hate getting swindled...then I found this place... Mike worked on my 1999 VW Jetta VR6. When I took my car into the Goodyear Tire Center (Wolf Road, Albany) to have 2 rear tires mounted, they discovered that I had a loose lower ball joint. "Haven't seen one that bad in a long time" was what I was told. That right there is a red flag when a supposedly seasoned mechanic tells you this, but the wheel takes quite a lot of force to see any wobble. I was then told that it would cost $250+ (with alignment) to get it fixed. I actually just had a 30K check up at Langan Motors 2 days prior and when I asked why it wasn't caught at that time, they said they needed to see it before they would comment on it. Then they told me it would cost "around $140 to fix." Langan said they would call me back when I asked how much the actual part was going to cost...they never called back. I remembered this website and called Quality Foreign Car Care (QFCC). Mike told me right on the phone the cost of the part and that it would cost less than $140 to fix. I brought it in the next day and the entire thing only cost me $120. Goodyear vs QFCC: Over $130 savings Langan Motor vs QFCC: Over $20 savings Oh yeah, the rear tires I had mounted were going to cost me $127/tire at Langan. I found them at TireRack.com for $56/tire and only $6.00/tire for shipping. The mounting only cost me $20/tire. One more data point on why I always feel like I am getting ripped off. I will never go anywhere else, I can promise you that. Definitely give these guys a try.

Wouldn't take my cars anywhere else (we have 2 Volvos). They are always very busy, but will always fit you in somehow if you are stranded. And they have always been scrupulously honest, (which is about as rare for mechanics as it is for lawyers).

Mike at Quality Foreign Auto Care set up an appointment to redo the head gaskets and plane the heads on my 93 Audi 100CS Wagon. I had major oil leak problems (set on fire type) and work done at another shop to get at the root cause. They used the black light dye and diagnosed it quickly (I had told them what I thought it was and they agreed). They also fixed the power window which part was less than quote over phone and they transferred the savings to me. Car was promised back 1 week later on time and I drove away happy. I did try the cruise control and it did not work where before I left it was OK. They had forgot to re-connect the vacuum hose into vacuum pump and they were gracious about this mistake. Overall very postive experience and they had alot of cool cars (Porche, Audi's, VW's, MG's) in the lot to look at.

As a female they have always been great. They explain the work they are doing and I've never had a problem with the work they done on my '99 VW. They are really competent and professional! They complete their work in a timely manner and sometimes even under budget. I love this place!
