Kenny only works on foreign cars.... I don't think I was getting the car model selector to work..... Besides that, Kenny is a mechanic that doesn't mind talking car stuff with a woman.....

KRW came highly recommended by the trusted Toyota dealership down the road (my family has bought about 10 cars from them over the years- I had called Kinderhook Toyota to see if they could perform an emergency tire balancing - they said they could on my RAV 4 but not the Golf, which was the car in need... Karen at the Toyota place said "call Kenny - he's great with the European cars." In the meantime, my husband had the tires balanced at Tire World or something, but we kept KRW at the back of our minds.... Several weeks later, our O2 sensor started acting funny. The dealership said "we can get the part in about 6 weeks - keep driving it, it will be fine." after 2 weeks, things were not fine. I called the dealer and griped, but they couldn't do anything... So, I called Kenny. I had a new O2 sensor in 1 1/2 days, and Kenny had a happy customer. I take the Golf there for all the factory-scheduled work (the car is a 2000, but we drive about 25,000 miles a year), oil changes, and the like. I thin they used to be triage nurses there, sometimes - it can be hard to get the car in for tune ups and oil changes, but they are flexible when you have a potentially serious problem.

Not only is Ken Wengler my mechanic, he is also my neighbor. He has worked on my family's cars for my entire life (all 20 years). We are very loyal to KRW. Ken is an honest business owner who always goes out of his way to be helpful. He also employs a really great team of guys in his shop. When my car went in for an extended period of time, he actually loaned me a car off his lot to drive until my own car got fixed. Any time I have a problem, I can pull in and one of the guys from the shop will pop out to take a quick peek at the car. When I got my licence, he worked with my Dad to find a car that would be safe for me. YAY KRW Auto.

Ken and his staff are 100% professional. They are reliable, honest, fair, light-hearted, and excellent at their trade. I've had horrilbe experiences with dealerships and other shops in the past. I got an estimate for breaks from Keeler Volvo for almost $2,000. I faxed the estimate to KRW and they did it all and more for around $900. That is the epitome of their service. They love what they do and are very active in their community. If you can get transportation for drop-offs, pick-ups and can wait up to two days for your car; they're more than worth it! (I even get Christmas cards!)

I had a very minor problem with my car, and I brought it in to get fixed, and it was fixed promptly and very appropriately priced which was great because I was in a rush at the time. I would definitely label them as honest mechanics.
