I have been taking my cars to Mark Bell for quite a few years now. He has proved himself to be honest and an excellent mechanic. He tries to solve problems with a minimal amount of cost, so he doesn't replace the whole engine if it just needs a new set of plugs. Mark has often fixed minor things at no cost if it didn't take too long. When my daughter was checking out used cars he even went over them and test drove them at no charge.

I was recommneded by a colleague. Bell's Auto does quality repairs and I have never felt that they tried to hood-wink me. I first tested them by going to several shops with the same problem and asking for their advice on a $300 repair.

The Bells' Auto,Mark and his staff are always very pleasant to deal with and are very honest. They've had numerous opportunities over the years to take advantage of my expert (NOT) automechanical knowledge but haven't. They have of course earned quite a bit by fixing up a number of cars as they aged (the cars, not the mechanics)not always gracefully. Just to show our appreciation I made some (what I think) are very delicious scratch chocolate chip cookies for them. The only problem now is that I can hear them starting to druel when I make my appointments and I feel compeled to cook another batch for them. They really do a good job, are very accomodating, and trustworthy.

When I took my car in to have the brakes checked, they found that they were in bad shape. They quickly moved my repair appointment to the very next day and told me about their shuttle service. I was quite happy with the price and it was really a great experience overall.

I used to like this place, but the quality of their work and customer care has definitely gone downhill in the last year or two. The last straw was when they put in a rebuilt alternator with a different pulley size from the original, and didn't change the alternator belt. The belt was obviously too big even to my layman's eyes, and consequently ended up shredding 6 months later from the edge of the belt hanging off the edge of the pulley. IMO, this is so incompetent, it's almost malicious.

We are trying to keep a couple of 12 year old cars running for our college student kids. Bell's Auto has been able to zero in on the problems and fix them quickly. It is relief to know I can count on my mechanic!
