I've been going to these guys (Ed, Will, and company) for 9 years now, and they've serviced and repaired a total of 6 cars for me (2 used, 2 family inheritances/used) and 2 new cars--and ALWAYS done an excellent job. They're great at explaining repairs, take the time to answer my (sometimes extensive) questions, and always at a reasonable price. They take great pains to save the customer money on repairs, but not at the cost of safety or reliablility. A few examples: 1. A few years ago I had major work done, and I OK'd an estimate for over $500; but when I came to pick the car up, the cost was only $400. They were able to make the repairs more quickly and efficiently than they'd previously thought, but despite the fact that I'd OK'd the higher price charged me much less--something I've NEVER heard of a mechanic doing! 2. Often I will go in to buy a simple head- or tail-lamp ($1 or $2) or wiper blade; they always offer to install it at no charge. 3. If there is some small problem, they'll often repair it for free, such as the time my hood wouldn't latch properly. They lubed the latch cable and charged me nothing. 4. I took in a used car that was for sale to have them look it over; the mechanic found numerous problems with it, thus saving me thousands of dollars (I didn't buy the car), but they charged me nothing for the 20-minute inspection (I tipped the mechanic 20 bucks). These guys are friendly and courteous to everyone, do great work, and have become very good with Subarus (which everyone around here owns). While they don't offer loaners, if you're leaving your car for major work they'll almost always arrange a ride home for you if you need one. I can't say enough good about this shop!

Made an appointment for a tune up, oil change, NYS inspection. They were prompt and did what was called for at what seemed to me to be a fair price. Previous experience with another car was similar. I'm very pleased. (Nice people, too)!
