I can already hear ya'll laughing. I moved to a new city where I was not familiar with any independent mechanics, and nobody I consulted could give me a recommendation. For two years, I maintained the Prelude by going to a dealer. They did good work, but they charged too much and I suspected their technicians were actually parts changers and nothing more. Then, the service person I had always dealt with was promoted, and his replacements tried to take me for a ride. At the same time, my alternator failed on an out-of-state trip, and another Honda dealer's service personnel were so egregious in their confidence game that I think their maneuvers could be termed attempted fraud without a hint of exaggeration. I moved again and decided to find an independent mechanic who specialized in Hondas. I came to this database and found only one entry near my new location. I took the 83 Prelude to Integrity Auto Repair in Hopewell Junction and was thrilled with the experience. On the phone, Honda and A.S.E. certified Master Technician Lenny Crouch was patient, precise, and he took the time to ask me if I was familiar with certain mechanical parts of the car. If I was not clear, he provided excellent descriptions. He also pointed out several concerns of his that did not relate to the problem at hand, and he indicated whether they should or should not be repaired in haste. When I went to retrieve the car, Lenny, despite the fact that he was working on a Civic, again took plenty of time to talk to me about the car and explain his findings. We together deciphered that a AAA tow outfit had mangled a lower control arm, and Lenny recommended an alignment and Body shop, Northern Westchester Auto Body in Bedford Hills, NY(914.666.5300), that did excellent work at a fair price and also was superb in the customer service department. I liked my experience at Integrity Auto Repair, Honda & Acura Experts, for these reasons: 1) The owner is precise, clear, patient, and has a sense of humor; 2) the prices for labor and parts are excellent; 3) I greatly enjoyed speaking to and listening to a technician who was an expert in my make of car, rather than to dealer service yahoos who, it seems, frequently are ignorant of how automobiles and their parts function; and 4) I am pleased with the work performed on the car and will return for maintenance and repairs. (Note: I left some categories above blank, because I have only been to Integrity Auto Repair once.) I have had a Toyota Camry (11 years, 268,000 mi) and a Honda Civic (7 years) and NEVER go anyplace but Integrity. There is no one in Dutchess County as good as Lenny and his crew. I recently moved to Manhattan but I still take my car to Lenny for anything more than an oil change. You will be satisfied with the service and the fair price.

Absolutely the best! Have been taking my Honda's to Integrity for years. Lenny is fantastic; when he doen't know the answer - a rare occurence, he calls Honda and gets the correct information. I recommend him to anyone who has imports!
